Decent landing on west side of site, open and airy, looks to the west, some evidence of idiots cutting trees that shouldn't be cut, good kitchen, fair amount of traffic going by as this is a well travelled lake. We enjoyed a layover day here.

This was a great site. Lots of space and open area. Elevated on a small bluff and well ventilated. Landing was nice but a little tight. Fire grate was in very poor condition. Those are the 2 reasons lacking 5th star. Would highly recommend this site and stay there again.

We based camped here for all three nights of our first trip. The site was lovely! Fairly secluded, two entrances, pine needle covered ground, huge open kitchen area with lots of nice places to sit and prep food, easy walk to the latrine, and a great rock to view the lake. On day trips, we found ourselves comparing every campsite we stopped at to this one, and none of them measured up!

Great site. The fire grate is in poor condition but everything else about this site is very good. It may be buggy during the warmer summer months. Very spacious. Nice kitchen area with a lot of seating. Newer square toilet with seat and cover.

Base-camped here for three nights and really enjoyed this site. There are nice large pines, a beautiful view into a mostly private corner of the lake, and plenty of space to spread out. My only complaint would be that there isn't great stargazing rocks, but the rest of the site easily makes up for that.

This is perhaps the best campsite I've seen in the BWCAW. Great landing site for canoes, and a good swimming rock nearby. Wonderful open kitchen area. Good bear tree options. Several large, very level tent site. Easy path to latrine. Lovely view over the lake and into the islands nearby.
