Upon finishing the portage from Elizabeth, we were faced with 25 mph south winds, huge waves, and whitecaps on Walter Lake. We bushwhacked from the portage to this site. It hasn't been used much lately, which is actually quite nice! Lots of grass on the site and plenty of firewood in the red pines. Lots of blackflies though. Would stay here again if faced with the same situation.

Slippery boulder takeout. Large site in the pines. Tent pads didn't seem quite level.
