BWCA Campsite 721 on Mountain

This was a decent site. Interesting vibes. There were some old rusted out cans/artifacts by the fire/kitchen area. Seems like this one is used a decent amount as there was a good bit of trash we had to pack out. Two entrances, both decent. We found a decent tent pad, though it was on a bit of an angle. Looks like a few more good enough tent pads and there were some areas closer to the thunderdome that may have been able to be used as tent pads, not sure if they're mean to be but would have been flat and protected though a few roots/rocks. Decent if rocky place to wade/swim. Good bear hang options. Thunderdome was a good, not too far away, and not uphill. Not a great view of the lake from the kitchen so we chose to sit closer to the lake and had a better but just okay view. We didn't use the kitchen/fire and liked to sit at the that place at the edge of the entrance to eat and hang out. We did hear and see a motorboat rip off from the Canadian side and go fishing further down the lake. We were not aware any motors were allowed on this lake so that was a bit of shock for us. It didn't affect us more than taking us a bit out of the experience. The day before we saw a person in orange come out of the woods on what sounded to be an ATV and fish for a few minutes. Interesting siting. More action on the Canadian side of the lake.

Decent site with decent tent pads. Kitchen is a little small but did fine for a group of 5. Landings are a bit closed off and views of the water are restricted but not impossible. 1 larger tent pad accommodated a 4-man. Another 1-man pad right near camp. Options for others a bit further back if needed. Decent shelter from wind/rain.

2 nice landings. good layout, nice firepit. zero view of the lake.

It was a long hard day guiding a group of high school boys from Daniels but we made it well and in one piece. This sit has a gravel landing and a covered camp kitchen.

A couple of boulders could present a problem landing in windy conditions. Though there is a cool rock stairway. An alternate landing is available just past the international border marker to the east. Has 3 seperate tent pads though none are entirely flat. Top notch firegrate area. Except it faces the woods & not the water. Caught lakers right from shore.
