I stayed at this campsite long ago (20 years?) with a group of students. At that time it was a comfortable spot with room for two 4-person dome tents, a 3-person A-frame, and a large well-appointed firepit. The beach was great for swimming and the students enjoyed paddling out to the small island in front of the site. I re-visited this site on 9/14/26. A number of pines have fallen over the campsite blocking the path to the tent pads (see pictures) and the firepit isn't what it used to be. This site might benefit from the efforts of a portage crew. It's a great location for a "last night" in the park. My "North Beach 4" picture shows the unusually low water conditions in 2026. Normally the water would be close to the log near the bottom of the picture frame.

Beautiful beach site. Small but room for 2 tents, and/or a couple of decent places to hang a hammock.
Swimming was fantastic. We found enough wood for an evening bonfire, but was definitely picked over. I would stay here again if solo or with 1 other person.

Beautiful sandy beach that extends well into the lake. Small fire ring, limited tent pads, however the sand strip is spectacular. A fair site in a pinch, but much better for a warm afternoon swim.
