This is a sheltered site without a lot of cross-breeze. We did not have issues with bugs in mid-august but I suspect it could be bad earlier in the summer. There was one nice spot that could fit a 4p tent and another good spot for a 2p tent nearby. A third area is available that could fit a 3 or 4p tent but there is a large dead tree limb directly above that spot so we chose not to put a tent there. Latrine was in good shape. The surrounding forest is dense and damp and most available firewood had been picked over so be prepared to search elsewhere for wood. A nice little waterfall is back in the woods directly across the lake where you can climb around and hike up to a scenic beaver pond. We stayed 2 nights and you can hear the sound of the waterfall from the campsite when the weather is calm. The hike up to the cliff top is not far away either. Caught a bass from shore at the site.

Mostly sheltered with a narrow view of the lake. A few large white pines create a pine duff floor. The landing was OK - there is a flat rock that I tried to use, but it wasn't stable, so be careful when trying to unload.

We ended up on this site after encountering full sites on Omega and nearer to the Winchell portage. While I didn't love it, there was a nice stargazing rock near the water's edge that gave us a huge view of the southern sky with the milky way. Bear bag was easy with the white pines near the shore line. Definitely not an amazing site, but it wasn't disappointing either. A solid 3 star.

A well secluded site with a nice firegrate area. Thus there are no good panoramic views of the lake. Has a couple of very nice tent pads & a nice stand of huge white pines near the latrine.
