This campsite is similar to the other Beth Lake sites and is solid overall, though not quite as picturesque.
The landing is decent. There is a large white pine right at the water's edge, and if I pulled around it, I found a good pull-in spot. There is also a smooth, sloping rock directly in front of the site, but it is steeper and less comfortable to use.
The kitchen sits about five feet above the water and has a nice view. The site is fairly open. I found four good tent pads that are usable but not as flat or large as those at Campsite 837. There is room for one or possibly two additional tents. The site is surrounded mostly by jack pines, with only one large white pine present.

At first there do not appear to be a lot of tent pads. However, this site had many tent pads that were hidden back in the woods. This site could accommodate a large group. The landing was not great but the rocks made for a nice hangout on the lake with a beautiful view. Nearby rockwall along the channel toward Ella was very beautiful and we caught a bunch of tiny bass.

This was our back up site when everything else was full on Alton. We were all happy with the tent pads. The kitchen was centrally located and had fantastic views of the lake. The latrine was up a little hill and private.
The swimming was good. It got deep enough in a couple of places where the boys could jump out a couple of feet and not touch the bottom. The landing wasn't great but adequate.
