This campsite has a unique fire grate setup, with a large boulder positioned in front of the grate that acts as a windscreen. On a windy day, this was especially welcome.
The landing is a smooth, sloping rock but is somewhat small, making it difficult to fully parallel park a canoe. The canoe may bump against nearby rocks when landing.
I found one good, large, flat tent pad behind the kitchen. There is another spot where you could place a tent if necessary, but it is rocky and rooty. The trail to the latrine is very steep.

I came out this way for a nice fall solo trip. This campsite was fine, but really small and tucked away. It has has a pretty good climb to the BIFF. That said, the fire grate set up is something special!

The campsite sits above the water, perhaps 20 feet or so. There is a huge boulder between the fire grate and the lake so air movement is at a minimum to keep a fire going unless the wind is in the east. The tent pad just behind and above the fire grate was excellent, very level and easy to drive in stakes. We had a pleasant evening there--nice sunset views down below the fire grate nearer the water.

Probably the nicest tent pads I've seen in the BWCA. Very level and well maintained. Okay for hammocks. We were able to get 6 hammocks up. Also very quiet site, not many paddlers through here.
