I thought this was a decent site. The kitchen area has nice views of a small lake. Most of the tent pads are a bit further back in the woods behind the site -- a lot bigger than I initially thought. The only problem is that quite a few people travel this route and I had four groups pass by the afternoon I was there. And they all paddle right next to the campsite. So a decent place to stop, but far from a destination site.

After being shut out at S. Temperance after a long day of travel from Cherokee through Brule, we were happy to find this open as the rain came in. We were off early so didn't experience the traffic. Nice little spot for what it's worth, though.

A very nice site on higher ground but the traffic at the portage really brings my rating down. Also on a smaller lake with average view

In a pinch I would stay here but plan on lots of traffic as it is on a thoroughfare. Try to make South Temperance as it will be much more private
