I last saw this portage in 2020 and it was in rough shape. It is much better now. The trail through the new post-fire jack pine is now defined and clear of any big trees. The Park has recently chainsawed cleared this. I took the time to help improve it more by cutting back some of the new growth, so it is now wider and easier to follow. Both entrances are also marked better with tree blazes and rock cairns. Easier to see from the water.
