*2025 Update*: I was paddling north to Adventure and found this portage to be in good shape. I think the Park ranger crews had chainsawed cleaned this recently. I spent sometime cleaning up both entrances and added rock cairns, so it is easier to find now. The rock cairns that I had built in 2020 were still standing along the granite ridge at the north end. In 2020, I cleaned out dead fall and marked it with stone cairns on the exposed granite ridges that are striking north-south. Like all the portages in the 2016 fire, the under growth is coming back thick and is now over eye level making it difficult to navigate in some spots. The Park needs to mark it with flagging tape.
