I prefer this path to iron rather than the bolder river. Beaver pond in the middle is very pretty and breaks up the portage. Everyone in the group thought it was quite easy.

Portage is divided by beaver pond - 65 rod on the west side, 240 rod on the east side. The path up to the beaver pond on the west side is muddy, the western side of the 240 rod (eastern portion) is difficult to find because it is hidden in weeds. Landing is marked with a square of birch bark and some yellow paracord.

Very tough to spot on the LLC side, but it does save time to Iron compared to going through Bottle Lake. 4/5
