Easy, though busy, portage. The steps made the quick climb up to Tin Can Mike fast and painless.

Concur with previous comments - although not quite sure why all BWCA portages were so muddy - this one no exception.

This portage is like an interstate - flat, wide, plenty of space for passing. There are built-in *steps* on the Tin Can Mike side. Want to feel like you're in a state park? This is your portage.
