Can't speak to the portage. We walked the canoe through on our way in from Splash to Ensign. On the way out, we just floated through. I would have been a little nervous running kevlar through it, but it probably would have been fine. In our royalex it wasn't even a thought. I would have no qualms walking kevlar through. I believe water levels are little low right now though, so it may be an easier float at normal levels too.

Surprisingly buggy on a rainy June morning. Otherwise a quick shuffle of gear.

Paddled through even though water was not very high. Fun. I would find a way to drag the canoe over the tiny falls if I had to. It looked like less than a foot drop, but I was shocked at how easy it was. Never got hung up.

Short, easy. Usually can paddle thru this one - we went thru it in late Fall (Oct) so must be good most times to run.
