From Kasa to Quetico the portage start on Kasa is from a pond above a beaver dam. to reach the pond you must paddle two brief and shallow swifts/rapids that are fast flowing. The portage is along boulders and climbs twice. there are a couple tricky spots where a slippery face of a rock must be climbed. otherwise it’s a pretty trail that i would gladly hike if it were a hiking trail. landings are easy to spot on both sides. room to load only one canoe on the quetico side. stream from the portage to quetico is beautiful and deep in a valley between towering rock cliffs. This is a stunning way to enter the heavenly Lake Quetico.

A fairly straightforward portage. Don't remember much other than a simple walk through the woods. Fairly flat.
