The landings aren't the best but the scenery is spectacular. The trail winds between a quiet cedar stand with the occasional towering tamarack or white pine. There is a gorgeous rock face near the end.

We were here during a high water season and this portage was quite wet...standing water ankle deep. The "obvious" landing on the Art Lake side is a bit sketchy, particularly in windy conditions...have to lift up a ~45cm vertical rock, hard to unload while being bashed by the wind. Coming back from Buckingham, we put in on the creek...pretty good current, and might be rocky in low water, but it was a lot easier for our situation.
