Short and fairly easy portage after an interesting creek paddle from Temperance. We encountered a Moose just into the Brule side. It was after sundown by the time we got here, so the big game was a fun surprise.

Agree with the others. Even though it's rocky, pretty hard to beat a 10 rod portage. Just watch your footing.

When the water is high the landing on Brule and the short trail are much tougher
