Comments from BWCA or QJ web site indicate poison ivy in some abundance on the portage and at landing and presumably near camp site - for those who do not have the visual giz for PI, consider viny or shrubby plants or just short green stems with leaflets in 3 bunches to be a problem… for kids or people or people with dogs who run thru it. Be well. Will update after I travel thru in August.

Easy, short portage. We thought this was a managed trout lake and there is a sign that indicates as such right before you arrive at the lake. We, however, got plenty of very healthy largemouth bass...no doubt their heft is due to eating all of the brookies!

If for some reason you are going to Conchu, the portage is easy. Just 15' of mud at the north end. Good landing on the river.
