The landing doesn't stick out like a sore thumb but is still easy enough to find. Landing is quite rocky on the Big Moose end. Trail climbs gradually for quite a distance out of Big Moose. There are several short ups & downs along the way but nothing too serious. Also a few spots of exposed granite knobs, some with rock cairns guiding the way. There is a long boardwalk near the middle that potentially could be under water during wet periods. The latter half is mostly a carbon copy of the first. For the most part it is an excellent well worn trail with very, very few troublesome roots or rocks. It was not overgrown at all. It's mostly just a matter of overcoming the 2 mile distance.
