A relatively flat and straightforward portage, but as TB noted, there is a split partway when heading east. Stay to the "river" side and you will be fine. We didn't stop to explore the alternate trail at all.

A beautiful portage, at least in high summer. You cross a beaver-dammed creek (a shallow trickle in July). In dry July the Schlamn side was a bit muddy, but the crossing out to suitable water was fine. In wetter years or earlier months, perhaps this is an annoying wade through the muck.

Nice landing on Schlamn side & starts off as an excellent trail. You then will need to cross the creek. Shortly after doing so, make sure you hug the trail nearest the creek. (There is another trail veering off to the right with boulders placed across the start of it. An old logging road???) The rest of the actual trail becomes ever more swampy the closer you get to the other landing.
