Crazy landings on this one. We were coming from the west so it was mostly downhill. Tough to get one's footing in spots. And then it's on to trader

Was not a fan of this one. The varying elevation makes it feel longer than it really is. I would almost rather do the Ensign-Vera portage despite it being twice the length (or a bit more even). This really isn't that bad but I found myself wondering when it would be over a lot more often than most portages on this side of the BW.

From Vera lake you have to paddle into the mouth of the small creek that runs in from Trader lake. The trail is mostly flat and follows the small stream for about 2/3 of the portage. The biggest obstacle to overcome is the steep landing on the Trader lake side. During high water there will be some nice cascades in the small creek.

Slight climb on this one but big pay off if coming in from the east - last one to Vera.
