Balsam Poplar
Populus balsamifera
 

Though it exists in the BWCA, Balsam Poplar is never an overly abundant species. One comes across it from time to time, but it is sometimes difficult to distinguish from the other Populus. I have only found it on a handful of occasions, and am including it simply for posterity.
