Nice site with a sprawling view of Gillis. Can be windy on the wrong day. We stopped in for a bite of food before moving on.

This is a large, sprawling, heavily used site. It might be 5 stars, but the heavy use really shows. The tent pads are spread out. One good tent pad is behind the fire grate. Another is in the sand/gravel area next to the shore. The best tent pad is down a path along the shore and has an unparalleled view. There are a few other possible tent pads. The landing is a shallow rock shelf. Great view to the south from the fire grate, but the seating needs a little work. There is grass in parts, but it is mostly sand, dirt, and gravel.

We checked out this site and liked the look of it overall. Unfortunately, there wasn't a great bear bag tree that was obvious to us, and there was no shelter from the wind coming straight out of the south at us. In calm conditions, it would have a tremendous view across the south of the lake and the corresponding stars. I'm sure the Milky Way is fantastic from here. In the end, we moved to the west side of the lake where we found better shelter from the prevailing winds.

Nice site, very functional, probably not great for a large group. Tent pads are a bit close to lake so not super private. Fire grate area is nice with a good view of the lake. Fun exploring opportunity to a small lake behind the site.

Nice open kitchen area. Several good tent pads - we chose one near the water so we could hear the waves lapping, but there are at least 2 more good ones back away from shore that are more protected. Landing is forgiving, and a nice place to swim. We had a nice time at this site.

Nice ramp landing that leads up to an elevated site that provides awesome panoramic views of the lake. Several nice tent pads which could also double as a tarp area. There is a steep trail just behind camp that leads up to a high overlook. Also, if you follow the shoreline a short distance to the west (the water is quite shallow) there is a nice sandy area for swimming. A potential chink in the armor is that the fire grate area is exposed.
