A wilderness staircase! Muddy landing on the creek side, and an annoyingly large downed tree/root system covering the Gebe launch. It'll get the blood pumping pretty good, but it's over before you know it. You got this.

A short but steep climb out of the creek. Beautiful, but steep! Absolutely worth the effort though. I almost enjoyed this portage!

So happy to be traveling north from Ge-be. This is a rocky steep portage from the creek up to Ge-be. Nice waterfall, though lots of fallen trees.

Muddy landing on the creek side. Barring obstructions, about as tough as a portage of this length could be. Especially climbing out of the creek. At least there is a sandy landing on the lake end & of course the waterfall running alongside.

Short, steep portage with a nice waterfall in the creek alongside. It was a welcome chance to stretch our legs after a long paddle through thick lilypads on the creek.
