BWCA Portage 443 (Wisini to Ahmakose)

This is an up and over that felt like it was more downhill as we traveled south.

Longer than most of the other portages in the area but not too difficult in terms of terrain and elevation.

Once again, this portage has rocky, uneven landings, but the trails themselves aren't too bad. This is the longest of the bunch, but it's not as steep as the one coming from Gerund, so it doesn't feel as bad. The view of Wisini is a nice reward, just like Ahmakose. Things could be tricky if the wind was coming right down Wisini, but we had glassy water.

Nothing crazy but, a good workout up & down over one of the longest portages in this immediate area.

After enjoying lunch and the scenery on Wisini we made it to this portage. The weather was still rough and everyone was wet and cold so it was probably good for us to get out and stretch a bit. This portage is longer than the others in the area, but not bad. We made it through without too much trouble.

Some elevation changes but all and all not to difficult of a portage.
