Iron Lake side of the portage is hard to spot. Portage landing is on a sloped rock on the east side near the mouth of the river. Portage is a little overgrown but easy to follow when you find it.

Kind of an annoying portage, with downed trees, brush, and mud. Not too difficult to follow once you find it but the Iron Lake landing would be hard to see from the lake it's a pretty steep rock face, and the trail starts at the top of that.
